Ukrainian Cyber Police partners with HAPI Labs' Scamfari OSINT

The Ukrainian Cyber ​​Police announced it will work with Scamfari OSINT, a platform created by HAPI Labs, to identify and block crypto wallets associated with terrorist and sanctioned activities.

As part of the Scamfari initiative, the cyber police will identify and block the virtual assets of criminals. 

The project envisages joint work on establishing the addresses of crypto-wallets to which “donations” are collected to support the military aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine, and the subsequent blocking of such assets. 

In addition, Scamfari offers a financial reward to users who provide the crypto wallet address and evidence that its owners are involved in illegal activities.

According to its LinkedIn account, HAPI was founded in 2021 and is a cross-chain protocol, aimed at creating new cybersecurity standards for DeFi market by providing real-time data on stolen funds and compromised wallets.

HAPI’s Scamfari OSINT team has 137 OSINTers researching on cryptocurrency projects and wallets that are associated with the collection of donations to support terrorist activities, according to the platform’s website. Scamfari’s investigations are based exclusively on Publicly Available Information (PAI), focusing on crypto related projects, wallets, and organizations behind them.

The Cyber Police Department of the National Police of Ukraine was established as part of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in 2015. Its main tasks are to implement state policy for combating cybercrime, to obtain information on the emergence of new cybercriminals, to implement of software solutions for the systematisation of cyber incidents and o respond to requests from foreign partners through its 24/7 point of contact network.
