Data cleansing and analysis software provider Chorus Intelligence announced that it has been selected by Bedfordshire Police to help manage its digital investigations and Radio Frequency (RF) survey data.
According to the contract, Chorus Intelligence will implement its data cleansing and analysis tool Chorus Analyse to support analysts and data experts with the streamlined ingestion, formatting, and interrogation of data.
“RF surveys generate vast amounts of data, so it is extremely important for us to automate the ingestion and analysis of this data,” according to Detective Sergeant Darren Murphy from Bedfordshire Police Digital Investigations Team.
Chorus is growing its footprint throughout RF departments following the announcement of its global partnership with U.K.-based digital forensics company First Forensic Solutions in June 2022.
“With the tide of data at an all-time high, it is essential to equip teams with cutting-edge tools needed to form connections across data sources. The adoption of automated techniques is now a necessity to achieving this and integral to solving investigations efficiently,” Chorus Intelligence CEO Neil Chivers said.
Earlier this month, Chorus Intelligence announced that it has been selected by North Wales Police to implement its end-to-end, digital intelligence and investigations solution Chorus Intelligence Suite (CIS). Chorus launched CIS in December 2022.
Throughout 2022, several other law enforcement bodies in the U.K. have started using Chorus Intelligence’s products, namely the Merseyside Police, Chesire Constabulary and Lancashire Constabulary, according to its website.
The company also has partnerships with local police departments in the United States. In February, the Miami-Dade Police Department (MDPD) in Florida purchased and implemented Chorus Intelligence’s digital intelligence platform and crime analysis solution, the Chorus Intelligence Suite (CIS) after being trialed for several months. Also last month, Cobb County Sheriff’s Office selected the company to implement the CIS platform in order to support its Criminal Investigation division.
Brockville Police Service and the Virginia Beach Police Department are among other law enforcement agencies in the United States using Chorus Intelligence’s products, according to the company website.
Founded in 2011, Chorus Intelligence has a string footprint in the U.S. and the U.K. The company is a supplier of data cleansing, analysis, search, and entity enrichment software for law enforcement, government agencies, financial, and corporate institutions across the globe.
