Criminal IP, an OSINT-based search engine created by cyber threat intelligence (CTI) South-Korean company AI Spera, announced the launch of its service after a year of beta testing.
Using AI technology, Criminal IP collects and analyzes IP addresses from around the world on a daily basis, enabling the detection of cyber threats. Users can choose from four search options (Asset, Domain, Image, Exploit) and retrieve desired information from large data sets using filters and tags.
Criminal IP operated on a beta service for about one year before its official service launched on April 17, 2023. Providing the service in English, Japanese, and Korean, the service had 2 million visitors from over 200 countries during its beta phase.
Criminal IP is offering its service with three main paid plans, additional enterprise and academic plans, as well a free membership option that provides free credits every month upon sign-up.
Criminal IP has plans to expand and improve its features in the near future. For now, the service is integrated with VirusTotal, Splunk, IP Location, Zabbix, and many other platforms.
AI Spera was founded in 2017 at the Hacking Response Research Center, Korea University, and provides an OSINT-based CTI from a hacker’s perspective by developing the latest AI-driven security technologies. Its co-founder Huy Kang Kim, a former member and the last leader of KUS (KAIST UNIX Society) hacking group in South Korea, was the first hacker turned professor in Korea, according to a description by the University of Queensland and to the company’s website.
