Australian open-source intelligence (OSINT) software company Fivecast announced that it has launched a new OSINT solution integrated within its Fivecast ONYX platform, addressing growing intelligence challenges.
Responding directly to an increased global threat environment, the Discovery solution empowers analysts and investigators across both the government and corporate sectors to uncover intelligence insights faster to help protect communities and businesses, Fivecast said in a press release.
Building on the existing deep, AI-enabled investigation capabilities of their flagship solution, Fivecast ONYX, Discovery automates and accelerates the processes of digital footprinting, information verification and identity resolution. These capabilities significantly enhance the crucial initial stages of intelligence investigations which can typically be impeded by huge data volumes, complex threats and resource constraints, causing insights to be missed, the company added.
Fivecast CEO & Co-founder, Dr. Brenton Cooper, commented, “Our Discovery solution provides both broad and fast search and discovery with the ability to seamlessly pivot into deep, targeted data collection, AI-enabled risk assessment and content analysis. This is a unique combination of capabilities that drives better analytical outputs and improves efficiencies for our customers across the national security, corporate security, financial crime risk management and due diligence market sectors.”
Fivecast is an Australian Government Defense Industry Security Program (DISP) member, maintains UK Cyber Essentials certification, its software products are NIST 800-171 compliant, and its executive, tradecraft, and development teams hold security clearances for Australia, the US and UK. Fivecast is also the first Australian company to be awarded a Defense Innovation Unit (DIU) project with the US Department of Defense.
In September, Fivecast, has been awarded the Department of Defense Innovation, Science, and Technology Excellence Impact Award at the ADSTAR 2024 Summit.
In April 2023, Fivecast raised almost US$20 million (AU$30) in a Series A funding round, which it planned to invest in expansion and service contracts in key markets including Five Eyes nations, amid a significant rise in the need for data and risk analytics among governments and corporations.
